YuScan: keep track of the Yu-Gi-Oh! copies you own

With YuScan, I focus on a simple question: which copy of a Yu-Gi-Oh! card do you actually have? Finding the name is a useful start, but a collection record also needs the printing details. A reprint and an older edition can share a name while representing different cards in your binder.

YuScan first launched on the App Store on April 16, 2026. I refreshed the screenshots in October 2026 and added a changelog of the work I completed that month below.

I want the app to help with that whole process, from identifying a physical card to keeping an organized record you can return to.

Scan, then check the printing

The scanner gives you a starting result from the camera. Before saving a copy, review its set code, rarity, and edition. You can inspect available printings and adjust the copy details, including language and quantity, before choosing its collection.

That check is central to how I think about YuScan. Recognition should make the next decision easier, while leaving room to confirm what is in your hand.

Give each group of cards a place

Named collections keep quantities and card details together. A trade binder can sit alongside a personal collection, while a wishlist records cards you still want. Available prices in your preferred currency add context when reviewing a card or collection. The screenshot amounts are captured examples and will change as market data changes.

Move from collecting to a deck

Yu-Gi-Oh! has its own deck structure, so the deck builder separates Main, Extra, and Side Deck cards. The deck view keeps their counts together, with card lists and archetype browsing nearby.

I like having these tasks connected: check a printing, save the copy, then work on the list you want to play. The screens here show the iPhone app; the website also explains platform differences.

Visit YuScan to explore the current app and try organizing a few cards from your collection.
